This year's Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir concluded peacefully on the eve of Raksha Bandhan. Over the course of the 57-day pilgrimage, a total of 4.80 lakh devotees reached the holy cave to pay obeisance and offer prayers. At the conclusion of the yatra, the head priest performed the final religious rituals. Prayers were offered for peace and prosperity across the world on this occasion. The conclusion of the pilgrimage was marked by a festive atmosphere, coinciding this year with the Raksha Bandhan festival. Arrangements for security and logistics during the yatra reportedly enabled the large number of pilgrims to complete their darshan safely.
