Even before leaders arriving for the BRICS summit reach Delhi, the BRICS Women's Business Alliance organised a significant panel discussion in the capital, placing women-led development at its centre. Participants in the panel highlighted the need to increase the availability of funding for women entrepreneurs, harness digital power, and establish sustainable institutional mechanisms for women's economic empowerment. The discussion largely focused on how to strengthen women's participation in trade and the digital sector. The event is being seen as an effort to highlight the role of women in the trade and economic cooperation agenda among BRICS member nations.
