In Munger, the water level of the Ganga has risen to nearly 18 centimetres above the warning mark, raising concern in low-lying areas. Floodwater has begun spreading into several parts of Kutlupur panchayat. Meanwhile, rapid erosion in Sitakund and Laxmipur Bind Toli poses a threat of weakening the foundations of homes. Villagers themselves are placing geo bags in an effort to save their land. The administration has said that anti-erosion work and relief preparations will continue.
