In Basait gram panchayat under the Kishni development block of Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh, village lanes had reportedly been left in darkness, causing distress to young children. The children made an emotional appeal, expressing fear of dangers such as snakes and scorpions in the dark. It is reported that following this appeal, the administration acted swiftly and arranged for the village to be lit up overnight. A video of the incident has also surfaced.
