Ahead of major festivals like Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali, the Uttar Pradesh government will run a special campaign from September 15 to October 14 to improve the state's power supply infrastructure. Under this drive, faulty electricity wires, equipment and transformers across various areas will be repaired to help prevent power outages during the festive season. Additionally, tree branches that have grown close to power lines will be trimmed, as these often disrupt electricity supply during rain or strong winds. The government's aim is to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the state during the festival period.
